The search to find a Welsh representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 by Welsh-language broadcaster S4C and production company Rondo Media was again undertaken by way of a four-part series Chwilio am Seren (Search for a Star) on S4C, on Tuesday evenings starting on 3rd September 2019.

Following three audition/elimination programmes, the live final took place on Tuesday 24th September 2019.

Voting:
In the first half of the final, five panels of judges each consisting of two adults and two children in London, Llandudno, Cardiff, Carmarthen and Aberystwyth whittled the six singers down to three.

The three singers with the most votes from the five panels went on to sing Calon yn Curo (Heart Beating) - Wales' Junior Eurovision 2019 entry - by Sylvia Strand, Ed Holden and John Gregory (who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010).

Once all three of the singers had performed, a televote was opened. A 50/50 combination of jury voting and televoting was used to select the winner.

At the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland on Sunday 24th November 2019, Erin Mai performed the song Calon yn Curo (Heart Beating) composed by Sylvia Strand, Ed Holden and John Gregory. Wales finished in 18th place - out of 19 competitors - with 35 points, 26 of which came from the public online vote and 9 from the professional juries in the other competing countries.

Trystan Ellis-Morris provided Welsh commentary for Sianel Pedwar Cymru (S4C) with Stifyn Parri providing an alternative English commentary via the Red Button.
